Question 1 - Past Record

For new candidates: Did you support and participate in the movement to Honour The Vote in 2016? Why?

Yes. Why? Because it allows for much needed diversity of elected people in the Legislature. Studies in other countries indicate this does happen with P.R. systems.

Question 2 - Principles

Do you support Proportional Representation on principle? Why?

Yes. Why? Because it is a fairer system for voting intentions.

Question 3 - The Particular model

Do you support the specific Proportional Representation model that is proposed for PEI? Why?

Yes. Why? Island voters get the chance to vote in two MLAs, one in their immediate district, the other who best represents their values despite the party affiliation.Besides Islanders have had a two name ballot system not that long ago.

Question 4 - Legitimacy of the Process

Do you believe the 2019 Referendum is a more legitimate, equally legitimate, or less legitimate process than 2016's plebiscite? Why?

I am ambivalent about where I stand on this because the current process has several restrictions but as a referendum it is seen as more binding. A conflict that is intentional?

Questions 5 - Commitment to future action

If you are a supporter of Proportional Representation:  Regardless of the Referendum result, if a majority of MLAs were in-principle supporters of Proportional Representation, would you introduce and/or support such legislation to improve the island's electoral system?

Yes!!!!
